The ACLS Provider Course is for advanced health care providers in the hospital or pre-hospital setting.  It is designed to teach you the lifesaving skills required to be a team member or team leader in either setting. 

Specific pre-requisites must be completed and returned two days prior to the class.  Please register in enough time to allow you to complete the pre-work.  Students are required to successfully complete the AHA BLS course and provide a copy of their current (unexpired) AHA BLS card prior to the class.

Course Content

  • Airway management
  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device and use of an AED
  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
  • Effective Resuscitation Team Dynamics
  • Key changes in advanced cardiovascular life support, reflecting the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
  • Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke
  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
  • Related pharmacology

Initial Provider Course requires approximately 12-16 hours to complete, including skills practice and skills testing.

Certification card emailed on the next business day.

The AHA ECC handbook features a quick snapshot of the BLS/ACLS/PALS algorithms and cardiac drug info and dosages. To purchase select add on below. The 2020 Advanced Cardiac Life Support student manual will be provided to you. The current textbook is required for this course. You have the option to pick up your book, have the e-book sent to you, or have the book shipped to you for an additional fee. If you opt to take the shipping option, you will be required to register seven (7) days prior to the class date. Student must provide the appropriate identification for the designated level prior to registering for the class either in person or via email. You will be given the appropriate promo code to submit during the payment process. Additional charges will be added if registering inappropriately.
